Tom is in Week 16 of the smile club

Attorney Tom Olsen: Chrissy, I'm in week number 16 in my Invisaligns. Week number 16 I'm joining the Smile Club. I'm years old and it's brand new to me because I'm taking advantage of my expensive teeth now by smiling. When I say smiling, I'm not just talking about curling up my lips, I'm talking about you got to give them the teeth smile. This kind of smile, you know what I'm saying?

Attorney Chris Merrill: I do. I wish everybody could see you right.

Attorney Tom Olsen: We are a videotaping radio show. It gives that muscle memory kind of thing too. The more I smile, the more it comes very naturally to me that I'm smiling even I'm not with somebody. It's been a real pleasure and a joy being around you, and our kiddos, and the family, and the people at the office to just smile, and the beauty about it is is that it causes people to smile back.

Attorney Chris Merrill: It does. You know the other thing that's been really positive about it?

Attorney Tom Olsen: What?

Attorney Chris Merrill: Is sometimes once in a while, as kind and gentle as you are, people may be a little intimidated by you.

Attorney Tom Olsen: I wholeheartedly agree.

Attorney Chris Merrill: With that smile, now that bright beautiful smile, they are less intimidated.

Attorney Tom Olsen: That's right. I may have a smile in my head and smile in my heart, but people still don't know how to interpret me necessarily and take in that big old flash of teeth, and then they know exactly where you're coming from.

Attorney Chris Merrill: They do.

Attorney Tom Olsen: I want to tell you, so this is like a social experiment for me and so far, it's been completely successful, but I took it up a notch yesterday.

Attorney Chris Merrill: Tell me.

Attorney Tom Olsen: Okay. I'm out walking the dog in our neighborhood as usual, but now I'm smiling and waving to people that are driving by that I don't know who these people are. They live in my neighborhood, but I still don't know who they are.

Attorney Chris Merrill: Thank you for sharing. That's really great that you did that.

Attorney Tom Olsen: It's a little bit unusual.

Attorney Chris Merrill: For you.

Attorney Tom Olsen: You feel like you're yourself out there a little bit. These people don't know me, and I'm smiling, and waving at them, and I'm getting a response. Certainly, there are some people who wave and smile, back but generally, man, people are in their own world when they're driving down the road. They don't see me. It's not me, I guess they don't say anything but what's in front of them or what they happen to be thinking about, what's for dinner that night.

Attorney Chris Merrill: Exactly. By the way, by chance, if they do see you, I know that then they are happy to receive that smile from afar.

Attorney Tom Olsen: I hope I've brighten their day, so I will continue to do this. Take it up a notch.

Attorney Chris Merrill: I am so thrilled that you're doing this.

Attorney Tom Olsen: Let me say again, there's a lot of good reasons to be smiling like this and when I say, folks, I've thought I've always smiled, but just curling your lips up enough is not enough, man, it's got to be the full-blown teeth smile. A lot of good reasons for it, but number one is it causes people to smile back at you, so I get to look at people smiling at me and that's a pleasure.

Attorney Chris Merrill: Yay, I'm very happy for you.

Attorney Tom Olsen: All right.
